Beach Don't Kill My Vibe

So if you happened to be around any kind of a beach and they tell you there is going to be a screening of Nowhere Boy, the story of John Lennon's rebel youth, at this beach for free - what are you going to do? It's like I didn't have a choice. After taking a dive in the ocean, taking a few drags on that magic cigarette, trying not to get distracted by the flickering glow of Barcelona's shining coast, I was prepared to focus on the movie. And it worked. In fact, the only thing that stole my attention from the screen was the constant string of luminous airplanes far over the sea, approaching the airport located in the west of the city.

Cinema Lliure a la Platja is a free film festival, where everyone is invited to enjoy some of the best movies shown on Film Festivals in Catalonia. It takes place once a week from June to the end of August, so basically all summer.

In the movie, John Lennon steals a couple of records and actually shoots almost all of them into the river, stating that Jazz sucks. This one survived. Quite rightly. Hear for yourself. Awesomeness.
